Sylke Sackermann was born in Oberhausen in 1977 and studied law in Düsseldorf. She started working for the city of Erkrath in 2006 and held various management positions. In 2014, she moved to the Oberhausen police headquarters. After a stint at the Ministry of the Interior, she moved to the State Office for Central Police Services. Here, Sylke Sackermann headed up the department for legal and property matters for the police authorities in North Rhine-Westphalia and free military welfare.
